Summer Kickoff Community Food & Float-Fest this Sunday

Date:

King Rentals will be hosting a Summer Kickoff Community Food and Float Fest on Sunday, June 6th starting at 10:00 a.m. at Split Rock Park. Boats and floats will be launching at 11:30 a.m.

The event will have free food (vouchers required), games, music, a race, karaoke, and giveaways, and promises a great start to your summer.

Please bring a lawn chair, please sign-up for a food voucher, and have fun!

Participants must have something that floats to go down the river, a tow rope will be provided for anyone without a paddle. Rentals will be provided by King Rentals for the event, but spots fill up quickly so book online at https://www.kingsrecrentals.com/ or call (605) 321-0226 today!

Get ready for a fun and covid-safe event to kick off the summer. Everyone is welcome. Bring anything that will get you down the river! Kayaks, canoes, rafts, tubes, or anything that floats! A Lead rope will be provided for our non-paddling friends to grab onto and float along!

The Summer Kickoff Community Food & Float-Fest is a completely free event hosted at Split Rock Park. We have chosen the iconic Split Rock Creek route, launching and landing at Split Rock Park in Garretson. We will provide a fresh grilled lunch consisting of Hot Dogs, Burgers, Chips, & Sodas to anyone who floats, completely complimentary just for showing up!

Lawn Games such as Volleyball, Cornhole, Ladder Toss, and Spikeball will be provided.

Our Ultimate Split Rock Creek Experience Giveaway will be hosted and drawn for live at the event. We will be giving away a Free All-Day Kayak Rental + Delivery, and a $50 Gift Card to the winner of the Kayak Race!

Please bring your own lawn chair and get some time to relax as King Rentals will be servicing the event. We will be there helping with launching and landing and making sure everyone has a good time.

You will also be able to pick the music for the event by requesting songs prior to and during the float. Feel free to bring friends and family, all that we ask is that you RSVP on our website or through our Facebook Event to get your food vouchers so we can make sure to get everybody fed!

We look forward to seeing you there! Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns at (605) 321-0226.
