This week's issue filled us in on the Garretson School Music department, which just returned from a successful competition in Chicago. Both Choir and Band participants scored well in the contest, as well as other competitions in the area last month. The school board also discusses the next step with the daycare alliance, which is looking to purchase the land that the old bus barn is on. Prairie Rose Community Fund provided three grants, two to the school and one to the Sherman Parks initiative. We also get a look at the first track and baseball results of the season.
