Issue #56 Full VersionĀ (Full Subscription Required)

Christmas is just a week away. We will be publishing the Gazette on Christmas Eve, Thursday Dec. 24 and New Years Eve, Thursday Dec. 31. Meantime we've got a lot of stuff for you to check out in this week's issue. From a story on Mark Howe and his work with Neutrinos, to stories on Kris Frerk and Don Snyders, Garretson Elementary Spelling Bee, Holiday Street Deocrations (Get yours up before Chirstmas to help your neighborhood win a sponsored block party from the Commercial Club), and of course varsity girls and boys basketball and wrestling. One thing you'll note, we've got Santa on the front page, and you might be wondering, where are more photos of all the holiday events, especially the ones you saw our photographer snapping at Garretson Hometown Christmas? Don't worry folks, they'll be coming in our Christmas issue. So like your holiday gifts, no peaking at the presents until Christmas is here! One other thing, this year we've started something new with the 6th grade drawings that the Gazette traditionally runs during the holidays. This year Ruth Sarar was kind enough to agree to be a judge for an official holiday drawing contest. The winners will get Commerial Club dollars as cash prizes as well as a free year subscription for their families to our newspaper as a prize. Be watching for the winners to appear in our Christmas edition! (So if you didn't see your child's drawing in the paper, then that means they're probably a finalist)... See you all at Mrs. Kelby Robinson's holiday Concert on Friday Night at 7 p.m.
