Mayoral Election Results

Date:

Just as the Garretson Gazette was going to press late on Tuesday night, City Finance Officer Anna Uhl presented the Garretson Mayoral Election results with the Garretson Gazette.

Total votes counted were 292, approximately 37% of eligible voters.

Greg Beaner is the winner with 137 votes. Bruce Brown carried home 99 votes. Tom Godbey carried home 56 votes. Beaner had 47% of the vote, Brown had 34% of the vote, and Godbey 19% of the vote.

Of the votes uncounted, Uhl said that two votes were considered provisional, acceptable but needed to be checked to be sure of validity. 1 ballot was spoiled and thrown out. Four were removed for non-validity, i.e. voter not registered or not a voter eligible for voting in this election.
