JV Girls End Season with 2 Wins

Garretson traveled to Parker for a doubleheader with the Pheasants on Tuesday February 16th. In JV girls action the Blue Dragons had a strong offensive showing outscoring the Pheasants 21-5 in the first quarter. The momentum stayed in Garretson’s favor as they went into the half, leading 36 – 11. The Blue Dragons continued to work hard and went on to win the game 59 – 15. Sydney Olson led the scoring effort with 17 points followed by Jordyn Williams with 13 points and Kylie Christensen’s 10.

The Blue Dragons hosted a doubleheader battle against the Sioux Valley Cossacks on Thursday February 18th. In first half girl’s JV action both teams exchanged hoops to keep the game close but Garretson was able to make a run in the second quarter and went into the half leading 23-15. The battle continued in the second half and the Blue Dragons came away with their last win of the season beating the Cossacks 40-28. Jordyn Williams led the team with 18 points, Anna Jones netted 10 and Sydney Olson chipped in five.
