JV GBB Net Three Wins

In the first game of the regular season, the Blue Dragons headed to Baltic on Friday December 4 to take on the Bulldogs.  Garretson took control of the game early as they outscored the Bulldogs 10 – 2 in the first quarter.  The Blue Dragons offensive momentum continued in the second quarter and the game went into the half with Garretson leading 22 – 5.  The Blue Dragons played a solid defensive game and went on to defeat the Bulldogs 55 – 14.  Sydney Olson was leading scorer with eighteen points followed by Jordyn Williams with sixteen.  Logan Bly and Raegen Altman netted six points apiece and Grace Hove added five.

The JV girls netted their second win at home against the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Friday December 11.  The Blue Dragons out-scored the Mustangs 16 - 12 in a close first half of play.  Garretson was able to keep the momentum in their favor into the second half and sealed the victory over the Mustangs 37 – 20.  Sydney Olson led the scoring with thirteen points.  Jordyn Williams added seven points and Raegen Altman five in a well-rounded scoring effort.  Adi Fink led the rebounding effort with five and Sydney Olson grabbing four.  Raegen Altman had five steals.

On Saturday December 12th, the Blue Dragons hosted the Chester Flyers in doubleheader action.  The Blue Dragons got off to a slow start during the first quarter but the energy returned and Garretson led at the half 24-6.  The Blue Dragons team effort didn’t let up and the girls secured a victory over the Flyers 41-22. Sydney Olson led the team with sixteen points and Anna Jones with nine. Adi Fink, Makayla Heesch and Jordyn Williams each added four points.  The defensive effort was led by Sydney Olson with nine rebounds and Kylie Christensen with five steals.
