JV GBB End the Season With Two Wins

In the final home game of the regular season, the Blue Dragons hosted the Baltic Bulldogs on Tuesday February 25.  Garretson took control of the game early as they outscored the Bulldogs 14 – 3 in the first quarter.  The Blue Dragons offensive momentum continued in the second quarter and the game went into the half with Garretson leading 29 – 8.  The Blue Dragons played a solid defensive game and went on to defeat the Bulldogs 44 – 11.  Molly Hulscher and Logan Bly led the scoring effort with eleven points apiece.  Mattea Fiegen netted eight points and Mya Long added seven.

Garretson traveled to Dell Rapids on Thursday February 27, to take on the Lady Quarriers in the final game of the season.  The first quarter was an offensive battle as Garretson put up nineteen points to Dell Rapids’ thirteen.  The offensive momentum slowed in the second quarter but the Blue Dragons went into the half up 30 – 19.  In the second half Garretson was able to hold off a run by the Lady Quarriers and went on to win 54 – 45.  Leading scorers for the Blue Dragons were Logan Bly with sixteen points and Molly Hulscher fifteen.  Mattea Fiegen netted nine points with Raegan Altman and Madden Lardy chipping in five apiece.
