In a post COVID world, one thing is clear, people are ready to party!
“In the many years I’ve been involved in the Jesse James Days Celebration and events as part of the Commercial Club,” said Commercial Club President John Brinkman, “this is perhaps the fifth biggest turnout we’ve ever had, and that includes the 125th celebration which was absolutely huge. We hoped it would be a good turnout, but I didn’t think we anticipated it would be this big.”
The Gazette staff literally took thousands of photos during the celebration, so we’ll be packing as many as we can throughout this paper and expect to see some more in the next few weeks.

Vehicles such as collector Camaro's, vintage Chevy pick-ups, and tractors were perused by onlookers.

Thanks to a generous gift from Sharon Kringen in memory of her husband, Grant, a display of 1960's Garretson in the form of a model railroad is taking shape in the Garretson Museum. The Historical Society is currently looking for donations of railroad memorabilia, such as this lantern donated by Shirley Garry. The lantern originally came from Frank Hasert.
