How hot do you like your wings?

Date:

Leroy Austin, proprietor at the Sports Cabin has been experimenting lately with his chicken wings. Usually chicken wings are either a weekend or a Tuesday special at the cabin. He told me that he got himself several new sauce samples to try with their wings, and asked me how spicy I like it, which is very.

What Leroy has done for me, was to surprise me. Put on a sauce he thinks I’ll like, and boy did he guess correct. I’ve tried two of these new samples now myself, the roasted garlic jalapeño and the Asian zing. Because I’m a big garlicy guy, the roasted garlic jalapeño was my favorite of the two I’ve so far tired, but the Asian zing had a long and lingering burn that I really appreciated.

A word of caution friends, I’m the kind of guy that does hot sauce challenges with my son at home, from the reaper, the xxx pepper and the scorpion pepper, my son and I eat them together. So, my spice tolerance might be a bit off the average. Still, if you’re feeling adventurous, ask Leroy what he’s got if you order his wings. And if you need to cool the fire, try something sweet like an apple ale or cider with a shot of cinnamon whiskey to help soothe the burn with a nice apple pie in liquid form.
