GHSXC has a big win at Sioux Valley Invitational

The Garretson Cross Country Team has continued to run straight into success this year.

In boys varsity at the Sioux Valley Invitaitonal, Preston Bohl again placed high, in 4th place. But this time the Girls Varsity team placed even better, with MaKayla Heesch taking first place! Kylie Christensen and Payton Campbell placed 10th and 11th respectively and Tayler Benson placed 18th. The ladies scored well enough to cinch the victory by 6 team points. We should also note that Mia Christensen also placed second in the girls jv race.

Coach Bohl had some big news for Garretson Cross Country fans!

“We were just notified that due to the conditions of the course in Flandreau, Garretson will now host the Region 2A Cross Country meet on Thursday, October 17,” he said.

Race schedule is as follows: 4:00 Varsity Girls, 4:30 Varsity Boys, 5 JV Girls, 5:30 JV Boys, & 6 Awards Ceremony.
