UPDATE 2/25/21: The Garretson Blue Dragons won against the Dells Quarriers 63-37 and will be advancing to the semi-finals. The Lady Dragons will play against Sioux Falls Christian in Sioux Falls on Friday, February 26 at 5:00 p.m. (note the change in date and time as initial publication had February 25 scheduled for play).
Garretson Girls Basketball ended their regular season 16-4, 9-2 in the league for their record this year!
On Tuesday, Feb. 16 they crushed the Parker Pheasants 66-37. On Thursday, Feb. 18 they played an extremely close game against the Sioux Valley Cossacks and just barely won in overtime, 69-67.
They ended their regular season with 43.3 seed points. The region game against Dell Rapids was postponed to Wednesday, Feb. 24 because of a potential COVID exposure. (Results pending at press time). The winner of that game will go on to face Sioux Falls Christian on Feb. 26 at Sioux Falls Christian at 5:00 p.m., a team that the GHS Lady Dragons lost against earlier this season. If the ladies can win these next two games, they will be in the South Dakota 16!
