GHS Graduation 2021

Date:

COVID-19 affected the lives of our students in a number of ways. Last year’s graduation ceremony was postponed and then held outdoors to keep it as safe as possible during the pandemic. Now that there are effective vaccines and a majority of the people in South Dakota have had one, Graduation at GHS happened in a relatively normal fashion this last weekend. The only thing different compared to other years was that there was no receiving line post-graduation.

Graduates 2021

Peyton Hove, Valedictorian and Rave Uhlich, Salutatorian reminisced about their time at the Garretson School. Garretson School District Teacher of the Year Kayli Coburn gave the graduation address, an inspirational speech about hard work and determination leading to attainable goals that will improve your life, and that it’s how you face many challenges that matters. A good message in uncertain times.
