GHS Cross Country Places Well in Salem, Luverne

On Thursday, Sept. 5 the Garretson Cross Country Teams traveled to Salem. Girl's Varsity, Girl's JV, and Boys JV finished 4th overall and the Boys’ Varsity was 10th in the 29 team meet.

Best time for boys varsity was Preston Bohl, placing 11th with a time of 17:33.71 ear- ing nine points. In boys JV, our best runner was Sam Schleuter, placing 3rd with a time of 16:18.28 earning 3 points.

Best time for girls varsity was MaKayla Heesch, in 17th place with a time of 21:03.78 earning 12 points. Best time for girls JV was Adair Hanisch, placing 12th with a time of 19:21.14 earning eight points.

On Saturday, Sept. 7 the Cross Country Team traveled to Luverne, MN.

We did not field full Boys or Girls' varsity teams. Tayler Benson won the junior varsity race (17:59.00)and Sam Schleuter was 2nd in the JV race (15:41.40) and Preston Bohl was 2nd in varsity boys (18:10.40). Other place-winners were: MaKayla Heesch (7th-varsity 21:35.50), Jordyn Williams (8th-varsity 21:57.90), Adair Hanisch(5th-JV 18:39.10), Payton Campbell (9th-JV 19:29.80), Devon Leedy(14th-Varsity 19:24.80), Mia Christensen(4th-JH 15:16.10), Adisynn Fink(10th-JH 16:27.70) and Eliza Porter(15th-JH 18:40.60).

Garretson Cross Country had their Jesse James Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and results were pending at press time.
