The Garretson Youth Wrestlers made a big splash at the 2021 SDWCA Region 5 AAU Wrestling Tournament last weekend, with over half of the wrestlers qualifying for the 2021 SDWCA State Youth Wrestling Tournament. Garretson fans were jumping and cheering for their youth wrestlers as they made their way through the brackets. Coaches Cody Linneweber, Vernon Miller, Brady Schleuter, and Sam Johnson guided wrestlers though each match.

Wrestlers qualify for the State Tournament by placing top three in their bracket, with one age group sending the top four. The Garretson Youth Wrestlers qualifying for the 2021 SDWCA State Youth Wrestling Tournament will travel to compete in Rapid City March 26-28.
Although everyone enjoys a victory, the Garretson Youth Wrestling Association is about more than winning and wrestling. The club and its coaches strive to help kids develop outstanding character and life skills that carry far beyond the mat, such as dedication, self-discipline, and sportsmanship.
