Garretson Postmaster Deb Nelson Lobbies for Postal Reform

Date:

Deb Nelson and Jennie Hegge

“I traveled to DC this past week for meetings with the management organization Postmasters and Managers of America,” said Nelson over email. “We are trying to get South Dakota representatives to support postal reform for several issues we are facing. We had our meetings set up and had no idea Jennie, daughter of Garretson resident Jeff, who is a letter carrier in Sioux Falls, was working as an intern in Senator Rounds’ office!”

Nelson urges you to call your our representatives and ask them to support HR 2382, the USPS Fairness Act which will give the post office a framework for much needed modernization and reforms.
