RE:      Homecoming 2021

The Garretson Student Council would like to extend an open invitation to all residents, businesses, organizations, and churches within the Garretson School District to take part in the activities of our homecoming week (September 6-10).

The GHS Homecoming Coronation will take place on Monday, September 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the Garretson Athletic Complex.  It will be followed by the annual GHS Powder Puff games.

The parade will be held on Friday, September 10th at 1:30 p.m. The parade lineup will take place in front of Palisade Manor on 4th Street and proceed west to Main Street and end at the school.  If you wish to participate in the parade, please contact Mr. Long at by Wednesday, Sept. 8th   Immediately following the parade, we urge everyone to join us for the ALL COMMUNITY PEP RALLY which is planned for the northeast parking lot of the school.

                                    Coronation – 7:00pm – Garretson Athletic Complex

                                    Powder Puff Football at Garretson Athletic Complex at 8:00pm

Seniors vs. Freshmen

Juniors vs. Sophomores

*Winners/Losers Play following the first game.

                                     HOT DOG Feed – Sponsored by Garretson Food Center and Coca Cola

Tuesday –

Dress Up:  Class Color Day (9 – Pink; 10 – Green; 11 – Orange; 12 – Black)

Events:

                                    Ruff and Tuff Volleyball – 2:00-3:20pm

Soccer at West Central, 5:45pm

Cross Country HOME, Jesse James Invitational, 4:00pm

Wednesday –

Dress Up:  American Day

Thursday –

Dress Up:  Country or Country Club

                  Events:

                                    Float Building – 7th and 8th Periods 

                                    Palisades Manor – 1:30pm (Royalty, Senior Athletes, Cheerleaders)

                                    Volleyball HOME Big East Conference Tournament, 6:00pm

Friday –

Dress Up:  School Spirit Day

Events:

Game Show – 8:45am

Dragon Olympics – 9:45am

GMS Kickball – 9:45am

                                    Homecoming Parade – 1:30pm

                                    ALL COMMUNITY PEP RALLY – Main Street/School Parking Lot

                                    School Dismissed and Buses Run – Approx. 2:45pm
