Jays win against Parker!!! Flanny throws a gem! Trey hit a 3-run bomb and Cole Koch hit his first amateur home run! Jack Sparrow got thrown out at home and DeBalls got his first hit of the season. The crowd was bumping all 15 fans.
Parker is a team to be reckoned with! Labrie was gone and assistant coaches Bohl and Frewaldt were no-shows!
Mudcats ate the Blue Jays
The Jays lost again 5-3.
Jack Sparo tied his hair in a bun and decided to take the mound for the Jays, pitching a great game against the Dells Mudcats, only giving up 2 earned runs. Labrie finally returned to form and smashed a double to left-center. Both Bontes had hits, Koch played the field like a young Derek Jeter, and Steckler made a play. Tayson caught a fly ball, and DeBalls threw two scoreless innings.
Trey Buck injured his arm; hopefully, he'll be back in action soon. Jesse and Dylan were nowhere to be found.
Jays lose Jesse James Days
The Jays lost on Jesse James Days! We blame Carson for having too much fun at the street dance the night before. Jack Sparrow was a no-show after the gem he threw the week before.
The Colt 45s started a guy throwing absolute gas, maybe hitting 45 mph.
Bonte started on the mound, giving up one run. Then we brought Steckler in the 5th inning, and we booted more balls than field goals made by the Dragons football team this year, all in one inning.
Vanhove had to leave early, and Jesse caught a ball. Koch had a couple of hits. Splett can’t find his bat yet, and Labrie popped up. Trey hit a grounder, and Brady struck out with the bases loaded again.
If this team can do anything right, it would be that we usually get nine guys to a game; now winning is a different story.
The Jays are back in league action at home against the Lennox Dirt Devils at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. Go Jays!
