Debra Jones died after a long battle with cancer on July 20, 2021. Blue Dragon Academy celebrated "Debra Day" in her honor on August 9. Debra volunteered at BDA regularly, rocking and snuggling babies and playing games with older kids. BDA staff and students released balloons in her memory on Monday morning.

“Debra’s husband Randy made a donation in her name for a new rocking chair,” said Kris Frerk. “She will be missed, but she’ll always be with us.”
