What did Abraham do with his wrestling skills? He wrestled at Disney World!

On June 15th, Dominic Abraham of Garretson High School reported to wrestling camp in Freeman, SD in preparation for Disney Duals to be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Center in Orlando, Florida. There were 3 teams total from South Dakota, 1 all star team and 2 developmental teams. Abraham was on one of the developmental teams.

They practiced together for 2 days before heading on to Orlando.

There were over 193 tough teams present to compete over the 4-day tournament. They wrestled teams from Montana, St. Louis, Florida, Nebraska, and Louisiana.

Dominic Abraham won 4 out of 11 matches, 3 were by pin, in the weight class 145. His team placed 5th of 14 teams in the bronze division!

ā€œIt was a great opportunity, and Dominic and the rest of the wrestlers from South Dakota did a great job representing our State at a national contest,ā€ said Heather Abraham. ā€œWhat a great venue! They learned a lot and have a lot to be proud of! It was a wonderful opportunity and I canā€™t thank the GHS coaching staff, and our sponsors enough for giving Dominic this opportunity!ā€
