The 14U baseball team played in the State Championships in Bryant last weekend, and while they gave it a good shot, ended their season after losses to Mount Vernon/Plankington and Clark.
"Not the way we wanted to end our season, but many positive things for this group this year," said Coach Aaron Christensen. "As a coach I am very proud of all the players. Not only this season’s turnaround but also the way they represented Post 23 and the community of Garretson!"
Last year, the team came away with zero wins, and ending this year at the State Tournament after winning Regions was a great change from the 2021 season.
The 14U team capped the season with a batting average of .360 during the regular season and a win-loss score of 14-13-1.
