            The Garretson 14U baseball team had a busy week from Tuesday, June 7 to Monday, June 13, playing six games during those seven days.

            On Tuesday (6/7), they took on Parker 14 U twice, taking the defeat both times. Looking to recoup their loss, they faced Baltic 14U on Thursday and lost by one point.

            However, when they took on Dells 14U on Saturday, June 11, the Garretson team was the victor by 7 points. They had a hard time surpassing Madison 14U Black on their second game of the day Saturday, with Madison taking home all the runs.

            Undeterred, the team took to the home field on Monday, and came away with the win against Tri-Valley White.

Garretson Vs. Parker game one

            Garretson 14U fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-2 loss to Parker 14U on Tuesday, June 7. Parker 14U took the lead on a groundout in the first inning.

            Garretson 14U struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Parker 14U, giving up nine runs.

            Parker 14U scored three runs in the fourth inning. The big inning for Parker 14U came thanks to singles by Benson Jones and Cale Sheaffer and a groundout by Jevin Erickson. Landon Wieman led things off on the hill for Parker 14U. The bulldog went six and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on 11 hits, striking out 12 and walking one.

            Carter Siemonsma was on the hill for Garretson 14U. The pitcher went three innings, allowing seven runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one. Isaiah Coburn and Isaac Stoterau entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.

            Garretson 14U totaled 11 hits in the game. Cole Schleuter, Treyton Decker, and Stoterau all managed multiple hits for Garretson 14U. Schleuter went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Garretson 14U in hits.

            Parker 14U scattered 12 hits in the game. Brock Fredrickson, Erickson, and Evan Campbell all managed multiple hits for Parker 14U. Fredrickson led Parker 14U with three hits in four at bats. Parker 14U stole ten bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Erickson led the way with three.

Garretson vs. Parker game two

In game two, bats were blistered, but Garretson 14U couldn't quite get the job done against Parker 14U and lost 11-6.

            In the first inning, Parker 14U again got their offense started. Parker 14U pulled away for good with ten runs in the second inning. In the second Evan Campbell drew a walk, scoring one run, Reece Simonson singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Jevin Erickson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, Mason Schaefer drew a walk, scoring one run, Benson Jones singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Parker 14U, Gavin Flannery was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Cole Abbott drew a walk, scoring one run, and Campbell grounded out, scoring one run.

            Garretson 14U tallied three runs in the third inning. Garretson 14U scored its runs on an RBI groundout by Caiden Maack.

            Collin Robertson led things off on the hill for Parker 14U. The fireballer lasted two innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out five and walking one.

            Ethan McGregor started the game for Garretson 14U. McGregor lasted one inning, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out two. Dan Hoskins threw two innings out of the bullpen.

            Collin Olson, Dylan Waltman, and McGregor each collected one hit to lead Garretson 14U. Garretson 14U tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. McGregor led the way with three.

 Parker 14U tallied seven hits. Erickson and Jones each had multiple hits for Parker 14U. Erickson led Parker 14U with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases. Parker 14U was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Erickson had the most chances in the field with six.

 Garretson 14U vs. Baltic 14U

            It came down to the last play, but Garretson 14U was on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Baltic 14U on Thursday, June 9. The game was tied at six with Baltic 14U batting in the bottom of the fifth when Henry drew a walk, scoring one run.

            Despite the loss, Garretson 14U did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Baltic 14U also had 11 hits on their way to victory.

            Garretson 14U got things started in the first inning when Cole Schleuter singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. The team then put up three runs in the second inning. Drew Chester, Joey Tonsay-Gasca, and Isaac Stoterau all drove in runs in the frame.

            Collin Olson was on the hill for Garretson 14U. The righty went four innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out five and walking zero. Chester threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

            Garretson 14U racked up 11 hits in the game. Olson and Schleuter each racked up multiple hits for Garretson 14U. Olson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Garretson 14U in hits.

 Garretson 14U vs. Dells Red

            Garretson 14U won big over Dells Red 14U 9-2 on Saturday, June 11. They got things started in the first inning as Cole Jessen singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

            Dells Red 14U evened things up at two in the bottom of the first inning when an error scored one run for Dells Red 14U.

            Garretson 14U pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. Isaac Stoterau singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Jessen singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Noah Schotzko singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

            Jessen led things off on the mound for Garretson 14U. Jessen allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out ten.

            Luke was on the pitcher's mound for Dells Red 14U. He allowed seven hits and six runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Connor threw three innings in relief.

            Jessen went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Garretson 14U in hits. Jessen led Garretson 14U with six stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 16 stolen bases.

 Garretson 14U vs. Madison Black 14U

            Garretson 14U fell behind early and couldn't come back in their second game of the day, taking a 13-0 loss to Madison Black 14U on Saturday. Madison Black 14U scored on a wild pitch during Henry's at bat and a single by Caleb in the first inning.

            The Garretson 14U struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Madison Black 14U, giving up 13 runs.

            Madison Black 14U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Isaac Stoterau's wild pitch allowed two runs to score for Madison Black 14U.

            A single by Cole Jessen in the first inning was a positive for Garretson 14U.

            Boyd pitched Madison Black 14U to victory. The fireballer allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

            Stoterau led things off on the pitcher's mound for Garretson 14U. The righthander allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Treyton Decker and Dan Hoskins entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

            Tyler Erickson, Hoskins, and Jessen each collected one hit to lead Garretson 14U. Erickson led Garretson 14U with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.

            Madison Black 14U tallied nine hits in the game. Braylon, Caleb, and Boyd each had multiple hits for Madison Black 14U. Madison Black 14U tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Braylon led the way with four. Madison Black 14U didn't commit a single error in the field. Brennan had the most chances in the field with nine.

 Garretson 14U vs. Tri-Valley White 14U

            Garretson 14U and Tri-Valley White 14U played a taut affair on Monday, June 13 on the home field, but Garretson 14U eventually prevailed 14-9. The game was tied at nine with Garretson 14U batting in the bottom of the fifth when Collin Olson lined out, driving in a run.

            There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Garretson 14U collected nine hits and TV White 14U had 11.

            TV White 14U opened up scoring in the second inning when Braxton grounded out, scoring one run.

            Carter Siemonsma led things off on the mound for Garretson 14U. The righty lasted three innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out one.

            Matthew led things off on the pitcher's mound for TV White 14U. The bulldog went three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out four. Sully threw two and a third innings in relief.

            Garretson 14U totaled nine hits. Olson and Siemonsma each managed multiple hits for Garretson 14U. Siemonsma and Olson each managed two hits to lead Garretson 14U. The team didn't commit a single error in the field.

            Treyton Decker had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.

            Siemonsma led Garretson 14U with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 24 stolen bases.

            TV White 14U racked up 11 hits. Matthew, Austin, and Braxton each had multiple hits for TV White 14U.

            The team participates in Jesse James Days this weekend, taking on Tea-D this Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Tandberg Field. They will have four more home games on Wednesday and Thursday next week, facing off with Hamlin and Flandreau, both in doubleheader play. Wednesday's games will begin at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. vs. Hamlin, and Thursday's games are at 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. vs. Flandreau.
