With over 8,000 employees, Avera chose a Garretson community member as its most recent Employee of the Month! More information was given to the Minnehaha County Commission about the ambulance situation in the county, the FFA enjoyed its trip to the National Convention in Indianapolis, and fall sports wraps up with the final football and volleyball games of the season.

Peace in our time. That is the hope and the dream we strive for. In America we celebrate Veteran’s day on Nov. 11. One hundred years ago, on the 11th hour of the 11th month of the 11th day, the Great War ended. Above, Garretson Legion member and WWI historian and re-enactor Randy Megard tells the crowd gathered for the Veteran’s Day program in Garretson what life was like for the ordinary soldier.
